Before that, he held a variety of related positions in the industry including serving as product manager for Pump and Motor Works, Inc.; purchasing and operations support roles at Darby Equipment Company; and national accounts representative for LinkAmerica Corporation, all of which are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What Sets Him Apart
Geoffrey cut his teeth in the industry in a hybrid sales/engineer position, giving him the unique perspective of both the technical side and the end user. His time working at a surplus motor stocking company helped him think about new ways to leverage traditional motor solutions. When he considers possible solutions for a client need, he considers it from the angle of everyone involved including the engineer, the customer, the end user, and the maintenance team who keeps systems up and running. Finding unique ways to address a customer’s need is his specialty – and his custom approach helps ensure that HECO clients get what they need for their specific situation. Geoffrey is familiar with pumps as well as motors, which differentiates his expertise and adds value to clients who may have pump-related needs. In fact, the biggest project in which Geoffrey has been involved was for the City of New Orleans after a hurricane, before another storm was about to hit the already flooded city. Geoffrey and his team helped update the city’s system that powered its pumping capacity, resulting in flood-free streets when the second storm arose. Geoffrey notes that he enjoys “getting customers out of a jam” which he was able to do recently when a client’s power plant had a motor failure and they were going to receive penalties from the government. Geoffrey and his team had a solution in house that could effectively run the load. They manufactured a custom base for the pump motor and saved the company from paying any penalties. When he’s not working, Geoffrey enjoys golf, guitar, woodworking, traveling with family, and coaching his son’s baseball team.
