Al Jeske serves as the Vice President of Operations for HECO, Inc. With more than 45 years of experience, he leads the daily operations of HECO’s engineering and repair divisions and provides ongoing technical guidance for motor solutions, streamlining operations across HECO’s facilities. Operational departments that report up to Al include engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, field service, quality control and safety.
Previous Expertise
Prior to his current role, Al served as Director of Repairs for HECO, Inc. Before joining the team at HECO, he served as Vice President of Engineering and Special Projects for Magnetech Industrial Services, Inc. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Operations for Multi Products Company, Inc. Prior, he held a number of related roles with industry leaders such as Harnischfeger Corp., Calumet Armature Electric, Allis-Chalmers, and later, Siemens-Allis.
Education & Industry Involvement
A native of Milwaukee, Al earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).

What Sets Him Apart
Al has been working with motors for 47 years. In his expansive career, he’s worked in research and development; repairs, engineering, manufacturing, engineering, operations and special projects. “I like working at HECO because it’s family-owned,” says Al. “We interact, we solve problems together, we work together with customers. We work with machinery, but the human element is critical to this job.” Of his multi-faceted background, Al notes, “Having someone with an engineering background in operations is a major benefit because you can look at problems and opportunities from a design perspective, a building perspective and an implementation perspective. All of those angles work together to make a project successful for both the company and the customer.”
