What Sets Him Apart
Justin has literally grown up in the business. He started working part time on the shop floor cleaning parts in high school. He is the 4th generation in his family to be in the motor business. In fact, Justin’s father still works at HECO as CEO. HECO was originally called Hatfield Electric Company until 1991. In college, Justin worked 20-30 hours per week at HECO and learned firsthand about the company’s systems and reporting processes. His industry and company knowledge has not stopped growing since then. Under Justin’s direction, HECO continues to be an educational source for customers and peers alike. In fact, HECO hosts an annual symposium that garners 300+ attendees. Justin believes in empowering the customer with guidance and data they need to make sound business decisions. He notes, “a smart customer is a good customer.” Some of HECO’s latest innovations include holding educational webinars on a variety of industry topics; and creating strategic partnerships with companies that have complementary offerings to enable customers to have a single source for their needs. Justin is a fan of disruptive business models that help organizations look for fresh, innovative solutions to traditional motor and equipment problems. When he’s not leading the company, Justin enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, Jacqi, and their two buys, Drew and Bryce.
